The meeting focused on assessing and discussing the recent session with Jesse Tyler and Russell Holden.

The committee spent time discussing the costs and details surrounding the current options being considered by the Board as presented by EEI.

There was much interest in the concept of modular construction by Aries to construct a new Elementary school behind the SAU building but closer to the Middle High School.

Continually, the COVID issue was referenced as a time to consider delaying a full plan and addressing smaller projects to address safety at minimum at this time.

Different opinions and philosophies were shared surrounding both budgeting and the possible construction by Aries.  The safety of school children remains a committee focus.  A phased approach has also been suggested-presenting solutions over time rather than all at once in an article.

Melissa has drafted an update since the last reading at School Board meeting-although not a full report, as this is pending further information from EEI.  The committee reviewed the report together online-capturing edits for each subcommittee’s work and alluding to the possibility of delaying an article in December’s final report.

The next meeting was not yet set-depending upon further information following the School Board meeting.  Meeting adjourned at 6:30 pm.

Respectfully submitted,

Anna Miner

Secretary
