March 17 Update

March 17 Remote Learning Update
Posted on 03/17/2020
As we prepare to move to remote learning, please feel free to contact your student's teachers and other school professionals. Our staff and faculty have done some great work in preparing us for this process. We know that we will have some issues, however, so please be patient and communicate with us so that we can work to resolve any issues as they come up.

On Thursday, March 19th all teachers should make initial contact with students/families, checking in to make sure that communication channels are working, email accounts are correct, introducing programs that may need to be downloaded, ensuring that materials have been picked up, outlining the teachers' expectations for students/families, and answering any questions regarding the remote learning process. On Friday we will work to resolve, respond and address any of the students/families' issues so that everyone is prepared for full implementation on Monday March 23rd @ 8am. Teachers have been asked to make daily or every other day contact with students/families.

As of Monday, March 23rd, any material that parents or students may need to be picked up at school will be done in the front entrance of each building. Teachers will notify you if new materials are available at the school and when to pick them up. Unless school staff is waiting at the interior door of the schools to let you past our front entrances, you will not be allowed to enter the main section of the buildings.

For Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, March 18th-20th, from 8am -12pm we will be offering breakfast and lunch to children who have qualified for free and reduced lunch. Please go to the Sunapee Middle High School cafeteria for pick up. We are working on additional plans to assist families with free and reduced meals. If you have questions or concerns about free and reduced options, please contact Cindy Lamontagne at clamontagne@sunapeeschools.org or Robert Fullerton at rfullerton@sunapeeschools.org.

Be kind and patient with everyone; we all are working to do our best for our community.

Please share your questions or concerns with me.

Thanks,

Russ
