Information on School Closing

School Closed March 16 - April 3
Posted on 03/15/2020
NoticeAs you may have heard, today at 1pm Governor Sununu called for the closing of all schools and for remote learning and support for students and families to begin on March 23 through April 3, 2020. Sunapee schools will be closed beginning Monday March 16.

Our teachers and staff started preparation on the remote process last week and will continue to work over the next few days to finalize our plan and implementation at which time we will communicate with our community. Remote learning and support will look different for each grade level and class; some may rely heavily on online programs while others may require paper and pencil.

On Tuesday March 17 from 8am to. 3pm both schools will be open for students and families to gather their personal materials for remote learning and support. Books, notebooks, instruments should all be taken home. If families need additional technology devices for remote learning they will be available for sign out at this time as well. All devices that are distributed will be filtered and monitored by the Sunapee School District and should be used for remote learning only. These devices should only be signed out of school if needed for remote learning. Please be patient with us and with each other as we navigate through this process.

Additionally all co-curricular sports, plays, practices, clubs etc. are canceled until April 3.

As stated above, we will have more communication later in the week. If you have questions or concerns please feel free to contact me directly by phone or email and I will do my best to get back to you with a response.

Sincerely,
Russell E.Holden
